Booking Conditions
These conditions apply to safari enquiries and confirmed bookings with Nature Destinations & Safaris.
1. Making an enquiry
Submitting the booking form on this website is a request, not a confirmed reservation. We will review your details and reply with availability, a proposed itinerary, and a quotation. A booking is confirmed only after we send written confirmation and you pay the required deposit.
2. Deposit and payment
A deposit is required to hold dates, gorilla or chimpanzee permits, and lodge space. The remaining balance is due before travel, as stated on your invoice. Permits and some lodge bookings are often prepaid on your behalf and may be non-refundable once issued.
3. Prices
Prices on the website are indicative and may change with park fees, permit rates, fuel, or accommodation availability. The price that applies is the one on your written quotation and invoice. Government-imposed park and permit fees can change with little notice; any increase will be passed on before travel.
4. Cancellations and changes
Please write to us as soon as your plans change. Cancellation charges depend on how close you are to departure and whether permits or lodges have already been purchased. Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are typically non-refundable and non-transferable once issued. We will always try to rebook or adjust your trip where suppliers allow.
5. Travel documents and health
You are responsible for a valid passport, any required visa, vaccinations, and fitness for walking safaris or trekking. Trekking in Volcanoes National Park can be physically demanding. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical evacuation, and adventure activities.
6. Itinerary changes
Wildlife viewing and park access can be affected by weather, park authority decisions, or safety. We may adjust routes, lodges, or activity times to keep the trip safe and worthwhile. We will tell you as soon as we can if a material change is needed.
7. Our responsibility
We plan and operate trips with care and work with licensed local partners. We are not responsible for delays, losses, or injury caused by events outside our control, including airline schedules, park closures, or the actions of independent suppliers. Nothing in these conditions limits rights you have under applicable law.
